how many licks does it take anyway??
Today I spent an amazing day at Discovery Cove in Orlando. It's an all inclusive day filled with snorkeling, relaxing on the lazy river, visiting the aviary and conservation center, swimming with the stingrays, lounging on the beach, and my favorite, swimming and interacting with the dolphins!!

Petting them gives you such a thrill because in the wild, humans are not allowed to pet them (doing so costs a hefty fine). They are so soft to touch! I learned many new things about them too; did you know that their tail is like their finger print (no two are the same in shape). Dolphins also have tiny slits on the sides of their heads which are their ears. I got to interact with 2 female dolphins; Cindy who was 40 year old and Marea, 6 years old. Each of them weighed about 515 lbs!! It's amazing how much larger they are in person than in the dolphins shows. The lighter color dolphin is Marea. We also got to ride on their dorsal fin. The highlight was giving them a great big kiss right after we fed them some fish. YUM!!! They eat about 20 lbs of fish a day!! What a memorable experience, probably one i will never forget!!
