Reminds me of childhood memories

I fondly remember playing kickball on the elementary school playground during recess. We'd get a large group of regulars and have a game daily. You were good if you could catch the ball and really good if you could peg the ball at the runner and land an out for the team. But remember, only one base on an overthrow. I didn't realize until I was talking my dad who grew up in Brooklyn, that not every kid through the decades played kickball. Didn't cities have blacktop and parks? That's really all you need to play kickball besides some bases and a big bouncy ball. Why did they play stoopball or stickball? Why not kickball? Well any way, I guess enough people feel the nostalgia of kickball that there is actually a World Adult Kickball Association (also known as WAKA). I am very proud to admit that I recently joined a WAKA league. We play every Tuesday at a field in Tampa. I think there are 14 teams in the league. Our team is called Raging Balls. So the Raging Balls are 0-2...we're a fairly young team in many of us this is our first season. But we are getting better. Here are some pics from last week's game. Go team!!!
