The Days are Getting Shorter

I am learning alot of new things about the new city we live in.  Edmonton's fall is very short lived.  Literally on the first day of fall, the leaves were already beginning to change and fall.  We had our first snow fall on October 10th.   With a some high speed winds the other day, the leaves nearly all gone!!  What a change!  It also doesn't get light outside until nearly 7:45am.  Even though I don't like it getting dark early during DST, I am looking forward to actually going to school when it's light outside.  I am getting used to running in really cold weather.  I have already run in 32 F (0 C) weather.  I'm slowly getting used to metrics.  I still like to talk in Farenheit and all the people my age have no clue as to what I am talking about.  Canada adopted the metric system about 40 ish years ago so the profs usually know what I am talking about.  Just in case, I have a metric app on my phone which I use constantly.  Even though it's cold, Edmonton has very pretty parks and trails.  The pictures below were taken at various times in September and October at White Mud Park.  School is going well.  I am taking graduate level Univariate Statistics and a Nutrition and Cancer class.  I'm usually not a big fan of three hour evening class, but I love my nutrition class.  We have regular lecture, guest lectures, and discuss journal articles.
