We hope everyone had a good weekend. This weekend Mitch and I rented cross country skis to ski in the River valley where we live. This is definitely a perk of living in a cold climate with a lot of snow and no mountains-great cross country skiing terrain. We fell a lot (me a bit more gracefully than Mitch) but once we got the hang of it, it was really very simple. Definitely a lot less scary than downhill skiing. Very rarely did I have to go down hills, but when I did, they were small and manageable. And it definitely gave us hell of a workout. I was pretty sore for a couple of days as expected. It was fun to try a new sport and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I would definitely do it again sometime. On Sunday we had a Purim carnival, schpiel, reading, and dinner. It was a lot of fun to see all the cute costumes and just have a good time. Sorry no pictures of us in costumes. We went as ourselves. I did bake hamantaschen for a dinner we went to on Friday. They were the best I made. They didn't come out like circular cookies with blobs of jelly. SUCCESS!
