Today I took the kitties back to the Humane Society. They are 6 weeks now and were ready for adoption. I wasn't sure if I'd have 2 more weeks with them so I didn't get to take any last pictures. They were cute to have (althought they liked to jump on my legs and scratch me and momma hissed and growled when I fed her or opened the door. I'm glad to have my bathroom space back, the place where I do my you know "deep thinking." You better believe I scrubbed everything down, emptied the litter box, and mopped the floor! What a mess. My bathroom smells better already with all the air freshner I sprayed. I enjoyed fostering but I will never foster 4 cats- it's just insane. I will never understand how people have more than 2 cats. I have to say it was hard to part with them. I found myself lingering at the shelter but I know they will find them good homes and keep the names I gave them hopefully! It's been fun but I need a rest before I get some more. I'm thinking I won't do it until I get back from vacation in May.
Top 10 things I learned being a foster mommy to cats
1. Always wear pants when going to the bathroom, this avoids ugly cuts on your legs
2. If you have 4 cats, you need 2 literboxes
3. Don't yell at cats when they pee and poop on the floor, it's just not worth it because chances are they're just gonna do it again
4. Always step with caution, you may be stepping in a "present" the cat left behind
5. Going along with 4, never wear socks in the bathroom
6. Don't bother cutting the kittens nails, they'll always be sharp
7. Get used to having litter stuck to your feet because it's everywhere
8. Cats are going to look at you when you go to the bathroom so get over it!!
9. Keeping a fan on in your room drowns out the meows when they want attention and you just want to go to bed
10. Soft food cans make good food bowls!
