30-40 degrees colder but still enjoying Sedona

Day 3...We enjoyed Phoenix but it was time to drive to Sedona. First we hiked about 4 1/2 miles in Red Rock State Park. The signs said to be on the lookout for rattlesnakes, jackrabbits, and squirrels, but we didn't see much. Parker said he saw a gardner snake...bummer I missed it. Next was drove through Coconino National Forest and even stopped in the National Forest to see the view from the lookout point as well as stroll a path where Native Americans were selling jewlery. Then we drove to Meteor Crater near Winslow, AZ. Right smack dab in the middle of East Bumbleville, there is a huge crater that was created by a large meteor that hit the Earth about 50,000 years ago. It left a huge crater nearly 3/4 mile long and 700 ft deep. It was really neat to view. Next we had to visit another college, NAU. We even got a pic with their mascot, the lumberjack. The weather I believe was in the 40s and 50s by the time we got to Flagstaff.
