Day 6...After an action packed few days in AZ, it was time to drive over 200 miles and about 4 1/2 hrs to Las Vegas, NV. Temperatures were back in the 90s. Parker and I shared driving; I drove into Las Vegas but first we made a pit stop at the Hoover Dam. We didn't stay long because we knew we'd be there again the following day for our rafting trip. Onto Las Vegas...which really is a town in the middle of a mountainous desert. I am glad we saved Vegas for last because at that point we were ready to just relax and kick back. I have to say that Vegas reminds me of a combination of NYC (because of the largeness of it all and the excitement) and Atlantic City. We stayed both nights at the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino. Parker showed me around the strip...and by the end of the night we were both tired of the card slapping (for those who've been there you know what I mean) and we probably could do a much better job.
