I got the title of this post from a verse from the band 10,000 Maniacs in honor of Valentine's Day. Dad likes to remind me that it's St. Valentine's Day, but I say who cares about the saint thing...it's another holiday that has lost it's orginal roots. For me it's more of a day to celebrate one you love and show them how much you care. I'm all about the cards, chocolate, flowers...so I'm hopeless romantic...sue me!
This weekend was great...Parker made dinner on Friday. He made vegetarian stuffed pepper and it was out of this world...if you ask he might share the recipe with you. On Saturday, we went to the mall to pick out my Valentine's Day present. He treated me to a shopping spree at Dicks Sporting Goods since he knows how much I run and could use more running outfits. Then we went out for a nice dinner that evening at Bonefish Grill- the food was so amazing and then even gave us a bar of chocolate to share. Yum yum!
Today Parker and I went to Treasure Island/ John's Pass, which is a quaint fishing town. We walked around by the water and went to the shoppes. We even spotted some dolphins swimming by. A great way to end a perfect weekend :)
