Nature

I enjoy nature because of its serenity, beauty, and mystery. You just never know what you'll come across or the sounds you might hear. Everyday, after work, for the past few weeks, I see the same pair of birds feeding by the pond near the shopping center where I live. I don't know why they enjoy that spot, but each day I want to just stop the car and photograph them (never had acted on this impulse though). Today I dropped my things off at home after work, got dressed in comfy clothes, and headed down to their hangout. Sure enough they were still there along with some other squirrels and birds. They are called Sandhill Cranes and probably my favorite down here in Florida. In doing some research I learned that they usually travel in pairs and will stay with their mate for life. We have some of the most spectacular birds...unique, graceful in flight, and colorful. Here's what I got...also included some pics I took at Ft. De Soto Dog Beach. I went there last weekend with my friend Ilisa.
