Chicago

Last Friday, I road tripped to Chicago and met up with my friend Kelly from PA. Since we are moving from Ohio this weekend and we currently live 6 hours from there, I figured why not go. What a fantastic city-tons to do, beautiful architecture, and fabulous food. Definitely the NY of the Midwest. We jammed so much into three days...every place we went, I absolutely recommend. Below is just a taste of what I experienced.

I passed wind mills in Indiana en route to Chicago

first glimpse of Chicago....I know I shouldn't have taken pics while driving
strolling the Navy Pier

beach :)

Lake Michigan was pretty warm but the wind made it a bit chilly to swim

a beach overlooking a city...love it!

first taste of deep dish at Giordanos

so delicious!

We visited Jane Addams' Hull House-what a fascinating lady. Look her up on Google if you don't know what she did.

Chicago style pizza round 2-this time at Gino's East look at that crust

We saw Second City comedy club where many SNL players hail from. The best part was they pick me from the audience to be in their skit. I had a blast.

Remember that 80s show Perfect Strangers...kinda reminded me of that

The last day I toured the Chicago Theater built in 1921 as a silent movie theater
