West Virginia- Wild and Wonderful (Indeed)

While Mitch was working two weekends ago, I went to check off another destination on my Maryland area bucket list.  I headed 65 miles east to Harper's Ferry, West Virginia.  For all those non-history buffs, Harper's Ferry has significance dating back to the Civil War with the John Brown raid (an attempt to try to free slaves).  Not only does it have a lot of history, but the landscape is beautiful.  There are many trails to hike.  The area is pretty montainous so I had a pretty stenduous workout.  If you have a 3 day weekend or maybe even two days, I would absolutely recommend this to you.  It's pretty, quaint, and fun.

how cute is this town?
