Fall Colors

We've been having a really nice fall here in Edmonton because the temperatures have been warm and the leaves have stuck around on the trees a bit longer.  This week most of the leaves are now gone but there were beautiful shades of orange, red, and yellow.  Because the leave colors were so magnificent, I decided use them as a backdrop when I took pictures of Ian.  I always take pictures of him inside, but I wanted to try some outdoor photography with my favorite subject.

I also started sitting him in his Bumbo chair to help with his head control.  He likes it for the most part, but like tummy time, he'll cry if you keep him that way too long.  I can't say I blame him- it's hard holding up a head that is much bigger than his body.

I'm not sure how I got this one.  I had to hold him with one hand and snap the photo with the other. Not easy!

This hat was swimming on him when he was born and now he fills it well.

The next two were at Canadian Thanksgiving.  We spent it with our friends the Amerongens.

The drinking age is 18 but we have started at 3 mos.  Enjoying a cold one with the guys while they watch football (j/k).

Thank you Aunt Lori for my Halloween shirt!

I can't get over how bendable babies are.
