I wrote this back and March and just got to posting it today... The days go by so quickly probably because they are so jammed packed. I was telling Lori yesterday what a typical day is like and after I told her, she said that sounded exhausting. No kidding!!
I'm continuing to whittle away at my thesis. I've stopped writing for a bit to get my data ready for our statistician to deal with. Stats has never been a strong point for me. I'm thankful people have PhDs in this stuff and can help me out. Money from our department well spent!! Sometimes the amount of work I have feels so overwhelming but I try to take it one day at a time and realized each day of work gets me closer to my goal. I have a committee meeting this week so I'll have a better and more realistic idea of when I'll be done. Gosh I can't wait!!
Mitch is doing well. He gains a new coworker at the end of the month (March) so that will help with his heavy work load.
Ian is doing great. He brings both of us so much joy. I always get greeted in the morning with a smile
that's absolutely infectious and Mitch gets a big smile when he picks
him up at daycare. The women at daycare love him- they always tell me
how chatty he is and how he rarely cries. He really only cries when
he's hungry or tired. He has definitely mastered sitting up and will
rarely fall over. He's not crawling yet but we're in no rush for that.
We have barely begun baby proofing. As of yesterday, he's up to 18.2 lbs and 26." He's small but coasting along the same growth curve. He
says mama and dada but not with purpose. I think he tries to wave but I
can't tell. I'm trying to teach him clapping. He loves smiling at
Frankie, playing with his blocks and legos at daycare, as well as
peekaboo.
We have been having nice weather here so there
has been a lot of snow melting. It makes for pleasant walks since the
big puddles and sheets of ice are gone. Let's hope spring is on its
way!! Here are some pics from this month. The first two are Ian and I at synagogue- we went as supermom and super baby.
