Nice Weather Calls for Outdoor Activities

Spring is upon us in Edmonton (well at least until the next spring snow).  We are enjoying witnessing Ian's firsts in outdoor activities (time on a swing and swimming).  I had no doubt Ian would enjoy the pool because he loves bath time. In fact, whenever I am holding him when I wash my hands, he gets all excited at the sound of the water.  He had a great time kicking, splashing, and giggling in the pool with us.

Tomorrow, Ian will be 11 months!  He's growing up so fast, so much so that it's getting harder for little me to hold him.  He still has four teeth and still does not crawl or walk.  This month he found his pincer grasp and loves to feel himself cheerios, tofu, fruit, and bread.  He's had eggs before but yesterday he tried an omelet since it's something he can feed himself- not a big fan!!  I even hid it in his cereal, but the smart little bugger kept spitting it out.

When I read him a story at night, I tell him that next month we are having lots of company: Aunt Lori, Grandmas Carol and Maxine and Grandpa's Rob and Art.  I think he's getting excited, but maybe that is just me!

As for me, I am getting closer to being done with my degree.  I've begun to write and hopefully will be running my stats this week so I can write my results section.  The end is so very near!!  I can't wait to be a U of A alum and receive my MSc.

That's about it here- I've got to get back to work. I've been writing this on the little breaks I take from school work.
