Catching up

It's been a while since I last posted. My lap top has not been feeling too well so I'm ditching it to get a new one. So I haven't been able to blog and post as much. I enjoy living by DC so much. When Mitch works the weekends, I enjoy taking the metro and going to the sites. Before this year I had not been to DC since high school so I had a lot of catching up to do. This trip (November 6), I went to the Capitol building, Botanical Gardens, Archives Museum (very neat), Ford Theater and house where President Lincoln died (very eery), and what was the Mary Surrat boarding house.

Near where we live in Baltimore is the Druid Hill Conservatory. They had a beautiful display of mums. Then we took a leisurely walk around the grounds as well.

For my 29th birthday, all my good friends came to Philadelphia since it's a good halfway point between all of us to celebrate. We went out for Thai food, had some good drinks and music at a local bar, and then the following day, we went to the Eastern State Penitentiary Museum. I know you are thinking, "Why did you do the penitentiary for your birthday?" I always heard about it at college and never got a chance to go. It's a very fascinating place and there are so many good photo opportunities. Kelly, Mitch, Sarah, Randy, and I loved it.

We had thanksgiving over at my sister and brother in law's apartment which is a very far half a mile away from us. We also enjoyed having both Mitch and my parents over as well as Gabby's parents. Gabby and Seth made such a delicious meal. Thanks guys if you are reading this.

On November 26, I had my 10 year high school reunion. It was a very casual affair at the Polish Club. They had a DJ, some appetizers, and a light dinner. It was great to see everyone I hadn't seen in a while. I was one of the first ones on the dance floor which proves I have changed a lot since high school!
