This was the first time I had been back home since hurricane Sandy. There were still some uprooted trees and broken limbs laying around in the woods. And to think this was not the worst of it, not even by a long shot. NYC seem to be back to normal. We saw a comedy show, saw the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, and went out for Indian food in The Village. It was so great to catch up with family and friends- I had 10 days with them. I also got my fill of good foods as well- bagels, pizza, turkey burgers ( have yet to see ground kosher turkey in Edmonton), and of course Cheez Its. I actually had 4 boxes that my friends and family bought for me to take back. I also got to see Les Mis with my friend Kelly- don't worry no spoil alerts. Just very dynamic and I definitely forgot a lot of the plot since I saw it on Broadway when I was 14. The pictures below are of my visit with Cheryl and Lori and to NYC. It was good to be back home but definitely good to get away for a couple weeks.
